The climate in Qatar is hot and dry, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius during the summer months. For this reason, the World Cup will take place from 21 November to 18 December, the cooler months in Qatar

Getting there

The best way to get to Qatar is by plane. Hamad International Airport is located just outside Doha and offers direct flights to many destinations around the world, including London, Paris, New York and Dubai

There are plenty of activities to be found during your stay in Qatar. If you are a fan of shopping, you will be spoilt for choice by the many shopping malls and souqs (markets) in Doha. If you prefer to spend time outdoors, you can swim at one of Qatar’s many beaches or go on a desert safari
